Born at a very young age
Frequently tormented and bullied for being a very strange child
Learned to repress such behavior, and was sometimes labeled "robotic"
Awoken to Vocaloid and more experimental music whilst deer hunting in the middle of the woods, sitting on a lifejacket on a rock with a loaded .30-06 rifle
Learned to be human
Began music production in the spring of 2025
I (InSymphonX Soundworks) will NEVER intentionally use generative AI in any facet my production. This includes creating AI sounds, using AI song generating tools, using models like ChatGPT to write lyrics, or using products like Google AI for research.
Voicebanks that advertize being "AI" are AI only in name. They are as AI as the bots in Call of Duty (I hope this analogy doesn't age poorly). The algothrim is trained off the voicebank models voice and using iterative learning creates various formulas for the vocal synthizing software uses to add more realism to the vocal synthesizer.
If I ever discover that AI has majorly seeped into my production, such as a sample I downloaded being revealed to be AI, I will do my best to inform my listeners. I will do my best to correct the error, but if a song has already been printed on CDs, it is difficult to impossible to ammend them.
I have no doubt that some small parts of AI will leak into my production at lower levels, such as me reading something on a website before I realize that the website's information was AI generated.
I do not beleive that my art should be a grift. I make music because I find it fun. I make music because I wish for other people to listen to my music and feel the emotions that I feel. To create AI generated content is to shout to the world that you care more about money than you do being human.
